Rojak #77: Black Magic, Culinary Preservation and Wartime Heritage
Stories I uncovered that are not related to archaeology of Southeast Asia, but somehow are.
This month’s edition of the Rojak is truly a mixed salad. We have black magic needles. We have stories about wars - three different armed conflicts, in fact. And we have food. Because these stories are not related to Southeast Asian archaeology, but also somehow are.
The Rojak is a bonus newsletter for my supporters and paid subscribers. It is named after an exotic salad found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, which comes out on the first Wednesday of the month. Thank you for reading, and no wars were started (by me!) during the making of this newsletter.
