Steps away from Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum is Hanoi's best museum you've never heard of
In the heart of Hanoi, amidst the bustling streets and historical landmarks, lies a secret: an underground museum beneath the Vietnam National Assembly building. For obvious security reasons it’s not open to public, and so it doesn't even feature on popular travel platforms like TripAdvisor (the ratings for the National Assembly Building itself are average at best). Yet, beneath its facade lies a treasure trove of Vietnam's rich history. I've had the privilege of visiting this hidden gem twice, most recently just a couple of weeks ago.
